Capital Art Inc (OTCMKTS:CAPA) CEO Stuart Scheinman tells Proactive Investors about an upcoming name change and a major acquisition.
The pop culture image licensing company has more than 15 million images of celebrities, politicians, sports stars and other iconic figures dating back decades. The images are sold to media organizations like the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, People and other publications.
“We’re kind of treasure hunters. Our goal is to buy as many iconic image libraries as we can,” said Scheinman.
The company plans to change its name to Globe Photos, a well-known image archive that the company acquired in 2015. A new ticker symbol will be announced within the week.
Capital Art plans to acquire a sports company within the next year to license historic sports imagery.
